File upload page - please read these instructions carefully

This page is intended to upload music files that are public domain in the US and not in Canada. Your file will be directly uploaded to this server, physically located in the US, while a so-called "placeholder file" (PDF) will be created, which simply contains a link to the actual music file you uploaded to this server. The placeholder file should be then uploaded to the main IMSLP server in lieu of the actual music file. As the main IMSLP server is located in Canada, the use of the placeholder file prevents that any materials still copyrighted in Canada are stored on it, while it provides the link to retrieve the actual music file from this server.

Normally, the uploading of the placeholder files to the main IMSLP server will be automatically done by the system, and you'll not appreciate any major differences with respect to the normal process when files are directly uploaded to the main IMSLP server (except this intermediate step through the US server). However, if something goes wrong through the process, it may be necessary to manually upload the placeholder files to the main IMSLP server. In this case, you'll receive further instructions when going through the process. In the case of problems, IMSLP administrators may help you to complete your submission.
